Zenith: Arrival day
By Jason | June 22, 2009
Now that that is out of the way…the Sunday has been AWESOME! Our worship time tonight was amazing and Mitch did an excellent job kicking our week off. This week we will be discussing the idea that we have been “scrubbed” clean. You can follow along by reading Psalm 51. More details on topics will begin tomorrow as we start our daily themes. Some of our Legacy Youth put together an amazing video to tell the camp about the rules. It may have been the best display of the rules I and all of us have ever seen at camp. I am proud of them all. We will YOUTUBE it this week sometime for all to view!
I was also able to check in with most of our campers tonight as they were returning to their dorms. Eveyone seems to report back having a really good night with their groups and making new friends. Our teens are really spread out this year; something we have been asking to do every year. They are excited about this because it means lots of new people to meet. After getting all the campers to dorms, I had an opportunity to visit with a few of my youth minister buds from across the country, then headed to my classroom to get it all set up for class in the morning, and then came back my dorm room and reviewed my lesson for this week. And now I noticed its about 2AM so its time to go to bed.
I will be posting all week, so keep in touch. I can relay messages to your teen or the group if you comment etc. You can also send emails to them at www.campoc.org. Please keep us all in your prayers this week.
Peace…
