God Provides

It never ceases to amaze me at how God always comes through and He always provides. Last night we packed up our Thanksgiving boxes preparing them to give away on Saturday. I was a little concerned this year because it didn’t seem like we had given out as many “bags” and that we hadn’t collected as many as usual. We needed to make a minimum of 90 boxes to have enough for families. On box number 92 we ran out of peanut butter, sugar, oil, and a few other items!
I am reminded of the story of Elijah and the widow woman. There was a great famine in the land and all the water had dried up. Elijah asked for water and bread. The widow had enough flour and oil for one loaf of bread and that was it. Elijah told her God will provide you with what you need. She had faith. And sure enough the oil did not dry up and the flour did not get used up.
God always takes care of His people. When we have faith, He provides us with what we need.
